Terms and conditions of sale
Online sale of software extensions – version of 10 October 2026
1. Scope, seller and reseller
These terms and conditions of sale apply to all orders placed on idealpc.ch, a shop operated by IdealPC Sàrl (UID CHE-229.148.736), Rue des Charmettes 67, 2000 Neuchâtel, Switzerland –
Online payments are processed by Stripe. For buyers whose billing address is in Switzerland or Liechtenstein, the seller is IdealPC Sàrl; Stripe collects the payment on its behalf. For buyers in other countries, the order is sold through Link, a Stripe service, which acts as reseller (Merchant of Record): Link collects the payment, issues the invoice, collects and remits the VAT or sales tax due in the buyer’s country and handles payment- and refund-related requests. For these orders, Link’s terms also apply. For orders paid on invoice (customers in Switzerland), the seller is IdealPC Sàrl.
2. Products
The products sold are downloadable software extensions (Joomla plugins and YOOtheme Pro elements). Their features and requirements (Joomla, YOOtheme Pro and PHP versions) are described on each product page. An online demo is available. The buyer is responsible for checking compatibility with their site before purchase.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in Swiss francs (CHF), excluding taxes. IdealPC Sàrl is not registered for VAT: purchases by customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, by card or on invoice, are invoiced without VAT. For buyers in other countries, the VAT or sales tax due in their country is added to the price on the payment page, before confirmation, then collected and remitted by Link; the amount may be shown and charged there in the buyer’s currency, at the exchange rate indicated. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of the order.
4. Order process
- The buyer adds one or more extensions to the cart.
- They review the cart and can change it or remove an item at any time.
- They log in or create an account, then enter or correct their billing address.
- They choose the payment method – card (secure payment by Stripe) or, for customers in Switzerland, invoice – and accept these terms as well as the immediate delivery of the digital content, with loss of the right of withdrawal once the download has started.
- They confirm the order and pay on Stripe’s secure payment page; for payment on invoice, the order remains pending until payment is received.
Until payment, the buyer can go back and correct any input error. The contract is concluded when Stripe confirms the payment or, for purchases on invoice, when the order is confirmed. A confirmation with the licence key is emailed as soon as payment is received.
5. Payment
By card: card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or any other method offered on Stripe’s secure payment page. Payment details are entered directly with Stripe; IdealPC never has access to them. On invoice (Switzerland only): payable according to the terms stated on the invoice. Unpaid orders are not delivered.
6. Delivery
Files are available immediately after payment confirmation, from the My licences page of the customer account and via the link received by email.
7. Licence, key and updates
IdealPC Sàrl retains the copyright in the extensions, which are distributed under the GNU GPL licence. Each purchase includes a personal licence key entitling the buyer, for 12 months from purchase, to download new versions (directly in Joomla, via System › Update) and to email support for installation and use. The key is personal and must not be published or shared with third parties. The IdealPC names and logos are not covered by the GPL licence.
When the period ends, the extension keeps working indefinitely; only access to new versions and support ends. Both can be renewed with a new purchase.
8. Prohibited use and suspension
The extensions, keys and update services must not be used for unlawful, fraudulent or spam purposes, to infringe third-party rights or to compromise the security of our systems. In case of breach of these terms, non-payment, chargeback or risk of fraud, IdealPC may deactivate the licence key and suspend access to downloads, updates and support.
9. Refunds
The extensions are digital content delivered immediately. By placing an order, the buyer expressly agrees to this immediate delivery and acknowledges losing their right of withdrawal once the download has started. A simple change of mind after download is not grounds for a refund; a live demo and documentation allow each extension to be tested before purchase.
We give a full refund for: an extension that has not been downloaded, on request within 14 days of purchase; an extension that does not work on a compatible setup and that we cannot fix within a reasonable time, on request within 30 days of purchase; a duplicate purchase made by mistake. Details are set out in our refund policy. Any mandatory rights under the law of the buyer’s country remain unaffected. After a refund, the corresponding licence and access to updates are withdrawn.
10. Warranty and liability
The extensions are carefully developed and tested on the stated versions, with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. IdealPC fixes reported defects as quickly as possible during the update period. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect damage, loss of profit and data loss is excluded. A backup of the site is recommended before any installation or update.
11. Data protection
Data provided with an order is used to process it, deliver it, manage licences, invoicing and support. Details are given in the privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
IdealPC may change these terms at any time. The version applicable is the one in force at the time of the order.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Neuchâtel, subject to mandatory jurisdictions provided by law, in particular in favour of consumers.
